Harvey’s Brewery Yard Event
Once again Harvey’s Brewery will host their traditional yard event from 6pm-9pm where you’ll be able to enjoy music, a hog roast & BBQ, vintage vehicles, heavy horses and a well stocked bar, which will be serving the newly released Christmas Ale.
Sussex Gin & Fizz presents Winter at the Castle
An extension of the every popular Gin & Fizz festival held in June, this will be held in the Castle Grounds from 5pm-9pm and is free to enter and open to all. For more details visit www.sussexginandfizzfestival.com
Morris dancers will be about on the evening, Blackpowder will be based in and around the Cliffe area and Brighton Morris will be starting off at the top of town, outside the Brewers Arms, and moving on from there.
Lewes Castle museum is open with free admission offering activities in the galleries, a children’s trail around the museum, and opportunities for buying gifts and stocking fillers.
Santa will take up residence once again in Lewes House on School Hill. It’s a lovely treat for the kids, but for the parents as well with mulled wine while you wait.
Christmas Craft Fair
The Craft Fair in once again in Lewes Town Hall (Fisher Street Entrance). With over 60 stalls and free entry you’ll be sure to fund that unusual christmas gift.
You’ll find the usual festive stalls, food retailers and small children’s fairground rides in the precinct from 6pm. Look out for the Silver Sounds Samba Band and the Blackpowder Morris Dancers.
The Bauble Trail
Pick up a copy of the December issue of Viva Lewes. Visit 12 shops on the trail and collect a stamp and a letter in each one. Collect all 12, guess the anagram and fill in your details. Drop your entry into Harvey’s Brewery to be in with a chance to win either a Harvey’s Hamper, a £25 voucher for Bags of Books or a stocking filled with Viva Lewes Goodies.
